Hot Spiced Buttered Rum

A sweet and warm buttery drink, great whilst sat by the fire or on a cold winters night.


INGREDIENTS


100ml spiced rum
200ml water
25g butter
4 cloves
1 orange
1 star anise
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp nutmeg


Method

1. Simmer all the ingredients in a pan, do not boil, stirring regularly. Allow to cool and serve.

2. Add maple syrup or a tsp of brown sugar to sweeten.
