Spiced Rum Bothy

Award winning Scottish rum, made in homage to the humble Scottish ‘bothy’, the basic out-house or farm shelters that have long had a deep connection with the land. A warm, safe and welcoming shelter where workers would huddle around a hastily-lit log fire to share stories, songs… and a wee nip of rum!

Rest & reflect

Cask aged rum is infused with hand-picked saffron from the Strathmore Valley, scorched orange peel and mixed spices. Hints of nutmeg, clove, ginger and cinnamon. Further background sweetness from toasted brown sugar is finely balanced by handsome oak wood and spices.

“Smooth, warm and comforting”

The spices are prominent as there is no over-powering synthetic vanilla, and with each sip the rum reveals more complexity.

A rum with great complexity that appeals to both rum & whisky drinkers

Spiced Rum Bothy is Scotlands only 3 star Great Taste Award winning rum. The award-winning distillery, Gin Bothy, is nestled in the Angus Glen and prides itself on using traditional methods and sourcing local produce.

As a premium, full strength, sweet sipping rum. Spiced Rum Bothy is best enjoyed neat or over ice to appreciate its complexity. Alternatively, it pairs well with a premium ginger beer or ginger ale. Pair 50ml Spiced Rum Bothy, 100ml Ginger Beer, 25ml Lime juice and 2 dashes of Angostura Bitters to make a delicious Dark n Stormy.

Try a Rum Hot Toddy. Mix 30ml Spiced Rum Bothy, juice of one lemon, one cinnamon stick and top up with boiling water. Add an optional dash of maple syrup or tablespoon of honey for taste. Perfect to share some stories with friends.
